Last Saturday we went to the American Idol Concert--it was AMAZING!!! I have been twice before but this was by far the best season. All of them sounded amazing, way better in person I thought. I am absolutely in love with Jason Castro, he was adorable as always, and I have to admit that Carly was amazing too, even though she wasn't my favorite on the show. And as much as I hate to say it, David Archiletta was pretty good (probably becuase he sang "apologize", which is my favorite song EVER!) The other songs were pretty cheesy, but everyone was going crazy! And finally, David Cook....ahhhh.....DAVID COOK! He was better than amazing! He has a great personality and really interacted with the crowd---he looked like such a natural, like he's been doing it for 20 years! He sang "hello" and "billy jean" from the show, which were amazing and a few others. I was SO MAD though, becuase my camera battery died the second he came on stage! I couldn't believe it!!!!! Stupid me for not charging it...so that's why you see no pictures of him up here, even though I am super obsessed with him, and was a fan from the beginning! Well worth the money to see it--Rachel and Alisa, I would be happy to fill you both in on all of the details if you want!!!

4th of July

4th of July has NEVER been one of my favorite holidays, but the last couple of years it has actually been pretty fun. This year we got up at 8:00 for the ward breakfast (yeah, Shawn wasn't too excited about that) then in the afternoon we went swimming over at my mom's and had a big b-b-q. My grandparents were in town for my cousin's wedding, so that was fun, and we had Shawn's parents over too. We just stuffed our faces all day, then after Riley begging for about 3 hours we finally let him go out and start doing fireworks. He absolutely loved it and even got brave enough to light a few fireworks himself! Peyton was absolutely terrified of the loud noises and kept saying, "scared, scared!" He just snuggled with me the whole time and made me cover his ears, finally after an hour he fell asleep. I have to admit, it was fun having him hold still for so long and sit with me, we might have to do fireworks more often!

My Cousin's Wedding

My cute cousin Alicia just got married two weeks ago. She looked gorgeous and makes such a cute couple with her new husband Matt! The boys did pretty good at the temple--it was about 120 degrees outside that day, but they didn't do much complaining. Thanks Ashley for the huge bag of treats, that kept Peyton occupied the whole time! Anybody who knows my son, knows he loves food! (like you can't tell from looking at him!) Her reception that night was amazing too....what a fun day!

Random pics....I know I am so slow at getting these up, but I do everything slow these days! I have an excuse, and I am using it! By the way, any advise from you mom's who were pregnant ALL summer long??? I think I am going to die....anyway....Peyton has this thing for crawling into small places and containers, he thinks he is "small"....then he gets stuck and starts screaming, but does he still do it? YUP!!! And the other pic is of the boys at one of Troy's all star games. Thank goodness for night time baseball in the summer....I didn't make any of the daytime games, but the night ones were lots of fun and somewhat bareable in the heat!

Weekend up at the Cabin

This past weekend we went up to our cabin at Brianhead...it was so much fun! It was only about 65 degrees during the day and we got to pull out our sweatshirts at night. The boys had a blast. They went 4-wheeling with Shawn probably 10 times and kept asking for more rides! We also went fishing, and Riley caught the ONLY fish that was a keeper--15 inches! We ate it for dinner the next night, it was so yummy! Everybody got so dirty ( I am STILL doing laundry...) but well worth it!!!
