Weekend up at the Cabin

This past weekend we went up to our cabin at Brianhead...it was so much fun! It was only about 65 degrees during the day and we got to pull out our sweatshirts at night. The boys had a blast. They went 4-wheeling with Shawn probably 10 times and kept asking for more rides! We also went fishing, and Riley caught the ONLY fish that was a keeper--15 inches! We ate it for dinner the next night, it was so yummy! Everybody got so dirty ( I am STILL doing laundry...) but well worth it!!!

Swimming Lessons

The boys are both in swimming lessons right now...it is a love hate relationship for me. Riley loves it and Peyton hates it. Riley can't wait to get there every day, and Peyton screams the entire lesson every day. All he wants to do is wander around the water and do his own thing, he wants nothing to do with the class. So one day I finally gave up and just let him play in the water instead of going to class, and he just laughed and laughed the whole time! What a stinker! So that part of it was definitely a waste of money, but at least Riley likes it this year. He was so happy that Mason is in his class, they have so much fun splashing around the water together every day. I am not sure if we will make it to the end of the lessons with Peyton, but at least I tried, right? Next time I will know not to waste the money!

Another Birthday....

Ugghhh...another birthday, already? I swear, birthdays seem to come a lot faster than they used to. I used to wait impatiently for them to come, but now they come all to quickly (for all of you under-30's out there...just wait!) I had a great birthday, though, and was spoiled by my wonderful family. Shawn bought me a cute little camera, which I am SO excited about! I have been wanting just a small one I can keep in my bag so I can take pictures of the boys wherever we are. Thanks for a wonderful day! Let's hope the next year goes by a little bit slower!!!

Father's Day

We had a great Father's Day! My boys love thier dad so much, and just can't get enough of him. Riley made Shawn a card for Father's day with none other than a gun and a knife on it...would you expect anything else from him? We spent the day at my mom's house grilling and just hanging out--it was a perfect day!

24 weeks pregnant...

Lisa-this is just for you! I do not love belly shots, but since you live so far away and don't get to see me getting plumper every day, here you go! As much as I don't love being pregnant, I do love pregnant bellies and am so happy I am finally showing so people know I am prego and not just packing on a few pounds! I also love feeling her wiggle inside of me (that sounds funny saying "her"....Shawn still calls her "him" or "it" most of the time!) I love her already and can't wait to meet her in a few months!!!

Mark's Graduation!

My little brother graduated from High School last night! I can't believe he is all grown up! I am so proud of him- he is headed to BYU to play baseball in a week...definitely the only kid in our family that has any athletic genes! We are going to miss Mark (and especially the free babysitting for my boys!) Good luck at BYU Mark- we love you!

Ohhhh Peyton!

I swear, this kid is going to kill me! He is into EVERYTHING! His favorites to play with are makeup, electronics, medicine, and today I discovered his passion for markers. I was downstairs and he came down and just looked at me with his big blue eyes, like "what mom?" Good thing he had play clothes on! We will find out if they really are "washable"....

Preschool Graduation

I can't believe that Riley's school year is over! His teacher Mrs. Dove is amazing and he has learned so much from her. I am so happy he has one more year with her, I am just not ready to send him off to Kindergarten! His graduation was so cute- it was such a fun day!

Visit from Brad and Ang

A few weeks ago my sister and her husband came through Vegas on their way to moving to Texas. We had a blast with them- my boys absolutely adore them! We will have to make a trip out to Texas to visit them soon!

Soccer's Over

We had our last soccer game a few weeks ago, and Riley is so bummed! He loved soccer and keeps asking me when he can play again, so if any of you want to sign your kids up for fall soccer, let me know! I am sure we will be signing up again! A big thanks to coach Bill- you have a ton of patience with these kids. They just love you! Even though I can safely say we lost every single game by at least 10-15 goals, it was still a fun season!
