Madilyn's Nursery

I finally got my crib set and I LOVE it!!! I got the nursery all put together--now all we need is this baby! If any of you are in the market for crib sets, I found this lady in New York that custom makes whatever you want. She will help you pick out the fabrics and patterns and she did a great job--and was quick! If you want to check out her website it is www.modpeapod.com-- I am not going to lie, pink was making me pretty nervous, but now that it's in the room, I actually kind of like it!!!

Soccer Starts Again!

Last week was Riley's first soccer game on the "Rockets"! He is so excited and really loves soccer. He is now one of the oldest kids on the team, so he feels pretty cool. He had three goals his first game and was over the moon (last season didn't go too well...) Thanks coach Bill again for being such a great coach! I don't know any other dad that has that much patience with a bunch of four year olds! Go Rockets!!!

Baby Shower!!!

A HUGE thank you to Brittany and Rachel for throwing me the most amazing baby shower EVER!!! And thank you so much to everyone else who contributed and who came to support me--I have the best friends ever!!!! It was such a great night, and we all had so much fun, I think I speak for all of us when I say that Rachel and Brittany should go into business together! All the gifts were amazing, and I am so excited to have some things for little Madilyn now! She is going to be one well-dressed baby! Thanks so much everybody for a wonderful shower!!!!

Weekend Project

While the boys were away last weekend I decided I was feeling "crafty". I made letters for the baby's nursery and hung them above her crib...I think they turned out so cute! If any of you know me well, I don't "make" anything, so I was pretty proud of my first attempt at something like this! Thanks Rachel for the tips!!! I can't wait to get my crib set and get the nursery all finished....then all we need is this baby!!!

Riley's back in school!

Riley headed back to preschool last week! We were all so excited, he has the most amazing teacher ever! He was so excited to go back becuase he got to get his own spiderman lunch bag--this year he gets to eat lunch at school, so he feels all grown up! On the first day he was supposed to color a picture of himself to hang up at school. He ended up drawing his person to look like Darth Mall from starwars...ughh...we showed up at school and all the other kids had the cutest little projects, and then there is my kid with this devil child covered in blood and horns...awesome huh? I love you, Riley!!!

Labor Day at Mt. Charleston

Over Labor Day weekend Shawn took Riley up to the cabin at Brianhead, and me and Peyton stayed here. I am too big to travel, and enjoyed having a relatively quiet weekend at home! On Labor Day my parents took me and Peyton up to Mt. Charleston where they cooked breakfast--it was so nice and cool up there--it was great! Peyton SCREAMED the whole way up to the mountain (he didn't want to be in a car seat, and wanted to sit right next to me...I know, I am such a mean mom!) but once we got there he loved it! We had a great time and ate way too much--that's what holidays are all about though, right???

Camping at Lake Shasta

We just got back from 8 days of camping in Northern California....the boys had SO MUCH fun, however, I wouldn't probably recommend it to anyone else 8 months pregnant! The boys got to dig in the sand and get dirty all day every day, and ate junk food all day long...it was thier perfect vacation!!! Peyton was his usual naughty two-year-old self the whole time...the highlight had to be one night when we put him to bed in our tent. He had been in there almost 40 minutes, so we figured he would crash any second. He was suddenly quiet and we figured he had gone to sleep. Well....a couple hours later I went in to check on him, and stepped in a huge puddle of shampoo! That little rat had gone through my bag and pulled out a BIG, FULL bottle of baby shampoo, opened the lid, and proceeded to dump it all over the tent...it was all over the bed, the floor, in the clothes, and pretty much everywhere else he could find.....it was a fun night cleaning up....the next morning I asked him about it, and he just smiled and laughed, like he always does! Oh, Petyon, you make life so interesting! We are glad to be back and still doing laundry, but overall had a great vacation!
