American Idol's OVER!!!!

Ok, I just had to post this really quick- I cannot believe DAVID COOK won American Idol! I am so thrilled, I have been rooting for him the whole time, and feel like he is definitely the best singer and the most marketable--he is the only one I would actually pay money to go see (except I guess I am paying money to go see all of them since we are going to the Idol Concert on July 5Th!) I was so bummed after Tuesday night becuase I thought the judges were way too hard on him, and that they would swing the vote Archileta's way...but thanks to all those true fans out there, our boy won! (yes, I actually voted- I think the first time ever that I have actually picked up the phone to vote!) He looked more shocked than anybody, but I think America definitely got this one right! What are we all going to do now until January?????

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

We went in for another ultrasound last week, and to all of our shock and surprise, it is a girl!!! We couldn't believe it, Shawn especially was speechless (which doesn't happen very often!) He kept asking them to check again and again, but they are sure! It's a girl! I am so excited and a little nervous. I am sure our girl will wear blue and carry a weapon at all times, but there's nothing wrong with that, is there???? Anyone out there with girls, advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

Padres Game

Final stop...Petco Park for a Padres Game! Shawn's sister got us tickets on the 8th row right behing third base, they were amazing! The boys were so good and loved it...Peyton kept charming all the people around us and was scoring candy and food from them left and right! They even had fireworks after the game that the boys loved. Don't get me wrong, it was no Red Sox game, but it was still pretty fun!

The Zoo

Next stop, the zoo! I loved the zoo becuase we got to ride around on a bus the whole time and didn't have to walk hardly at all! Riley's favorite part of the zoo was the snake house, no big surprise there! Peyton LOVED all the animals and got so excited whenever we saw one. He also enjoyed chasing the peacocks around the park, which I have to admit was pretty entertaining to watch!

Sea World

Next stop...Sea World! I love Sea World, it never dissapoints! The boys loved all the shows and especially the water rides, although everybody got soaking wet. (mom was the only smart one that didn't go...) My favorite part was feeding the dolphins, it was so cool! I also loved petting the sting rays, I couldn't believe how friendly they were! The highlight of Riley's day at Sea World came when mom had a weak moment and bought him a huge sword that he carried around the rest of the trip. Leave it to my kid...the only weapon for sale in the entire park, and he found it!!!

Wild Animal Park in San Diego

We just got back from a nine day trip to San Diego- we had a blast! The boys did surprisingly well and loved it! Our first stop was the Wild Animal Park. The boys got to see them feed the gorillas, which they thought was pretty cool. They also loved the petting zoo and the carousel. (Riley had to ride it twice because he had to get the meanest animal...the crocidile! He wasn't satisfied riding a panda bear!)

Firestation Fieldtrip!

I took the boys to the Henderson Fire Department for a tour...it was so fun! They showed them a safety video, and showed how the firemen get all thier equipment on. Then they got to look at the firetruck and ambulance. We even got to see where they sleep and eat- and the best part, they were all so HOT! There is something about a man in uniform.....
