Valentine's Day

Riley finally felt well enough to go back to school just in time for the Valentine's Day Party! He was so excited to show all his class mates his battle scars- he certainly loved all the attention! Peyton had a great time at the party, too, becuase...they had FOOD! And lots of it! As long as he is eating, he is happy! Gotta love our little linebacker!

Nursery has finally arrived!!!

We are thrilled to announce that Peyton is FINALLY in nursery! I have been looking forward to this day at church for 18 months, and I can honestly say, it was well worth the wait!!! His first day he just walked right in and never looked back. He loved it and his teachers said he was perfect (my son???) He is quite an independant soul, so I didn't think he would have any problems leaving us at all. We look forward to church now like we never have before!

The "Make-up" Present!

So, the night of Riley's accident, Shawn felt bad for him, so he went to Costco and bought him an enourmous swingset (kind of ironic, buying him a swingset, after he just fell off of one, don't you think?) It was a great idea, except it didn't come as a swingset, it came as five huge boxes of just lumber and hardware. Who knew you actually had to BUILD the swingset? We knew we were in trouble when we saw that it came with an instructional DVD on step-by-step building! Neither one of us is very handy, so this has been a project and a half. This is about how far we had come after a day and a half of working on it....I know...pretty pathetic! We are hoping to have it put together by summer!

"The Accident"

As I am sure many of you know, last week was pretty traumatic for us. Riley fell off the playground and bit right through his upper chin, and had to have 19 stitches to put it all back together. The Emergency Room was a first for me, I think I was more of a wreck than Riley! He was pretty brave though, I was so proud of him. It was so sad seeing him lie on that big hospital bed in his little gown, hooked up to heart monitors and breathing tubes. They put him all the way under, which ended up being kind of funny. As he was coming out of it, Shawn asked him if he knew where he was, and he looked around really loopy, and said, "Outer Space???" He laid pretty low for a few days, but now he is back to his normal self! He had the stitches out on Sunday, and it looks like it won't scar too bad...we are keeping our fingers crossed!!!!

Our Boys

Ok, I am new to this whole blogging thing, so it will probably be pretty crappy for a while, but hopefully will get better with time! Probably everything I blog will be about our two boys, Riley (4) and Peyton (19 months). I have no life outside of them, I know it's pathetic. My hobbies include: taking pictures of them, scrapbooking pictures of them, shopping for clothes for them, and playing with them. I know, it's pathetic, but it's my life, so here it goes!!!
