Summer's Here!

So, I know summer hasn't officially started yet, but it sure felt like it this week! Monday was SO hot, we got our blow up shark pool and all of our sprinklers out. The boys had a blast! I couldn't believe how long they played out is the water, and how dirty they got. With all that water our yard quickly turned to mud, and they thought that was even more fun than the water! Hey, it occupied them for a couple hours, so I didn't really care how dirty they got!

More Soccer Pics....

Riley has decided he likes a new position in soccer: Goalie. I asked him why he liked it so much, and he told me "becuase you just stand there, mom. You don't have to run at all!" That's my boy!

Uncle Mark Turns 18!!!

Uncle Mark Turned 18 on Monday- the boys had a blast! We went out to dinner at Luceille's at the District, which was so yummy. The boys were a nightmare like usual (I am constantly reminded why we are never invited to do anything with our kids!) but somehow we made it through dinner with everybody's help! Then we went over to grandma's for ice cream cake and presents. Riley thought it was his duty to open all the presents, and Mark was a good sport about it. Grandma bought a huge singing balloon, that the kids were obsessed with. Every time you hit it, it starts singing. Needless to say, by the end of the night I wanted to dispose of Elmo permanantly! While Mark was opening presents Peyton was looking through Auntie Kimmie's purse and found her glasses and put them on, it was hilarious! He was walking around with her glasses on and her chapstick, grinning from ear to ear...I am a little worried about this one! Anyway, we had a great night, and the boys crashed on the way home....Happy Birthday Mark!

My latest obsession for boys...plaid shorts! What do you think, cute or way nerdy???

Sunday Stroll

On Sunday we took the kids out to the desert for a little hike. My dad gave Riley his very own REAL pocket knife (yes, he is only 4) and so he was dying to try it out (thanks dad...) So we went to the desert to cut some branches and flowers, etc. You would have thought it was Christmas for Riley! Along the way we came accross some Clydesdale (sp?) horses, and they were so friendly (and HUGE!) The boys thought it was so fun to pet them--Peyton kept saying, "hi dog!" (he calls almost every animal a dog...) Fun day!!!

IT'S A.....

We went in for our ultrasound yesterday, and they said...IT'S A BABY!!! We were so dissapointed, but they told us it was to early to clearly tell. BUMMER! So we will have to wait another four agonizing weeks to find out. At least the baby looked healthy and strong and was moving all over the place!

Easter!

Easter was so much fun with the boys this year. On Sunday morning we were upstairs and the doorbell rang, and they ran to the door to find two big easter baskets on the porch...they couldn't believe it! Riley kept looking out the window for the bunny, asking dad what he looked like-he was so mad he got away! After sitting through three hours of church and pumping them both full of sugar, we went to my mom and dad's house for a big easter feast. After dinner the bunny came again and left eggs all over the back yard. The boys loved the hunt! Riley is an old pro by now, buy this was really Petyon's first year. He had a blast! He carried his little Elmo basket all over the yard, picking eggs up and dropping them in...and imagine how much more excited he got when he realized there was actually candy in the eggs! The boys both had so much fun, and it's always so much fun to watch them...being a kid is the best! It brings back lots of memories!!! I keep hoping the easter bunny will find me again one of these years!
